Transport Scotland are working on the next itteration of the Islands Connectivity Plan, which lays out the medium and long-term plan for ferry services to the Hebrides. A key contributor to the plans are ‘Community Needs Assessments’. They aim to detail our experience of the current services (good and bad), and at later stages identify the opportunities for change and improvement. (From the mundane and obvious, like adding more capacity; to the more strategic and thoughtful like adding new services or routes).
There will be several stages of consultation through the process of creating the CNAs, including face-to-face events. First of all however, an online survey has been opened that aims to find out how we use the ferry service and what we think of it…. Below is Transport Scotland’s poster, and a direct link to the survey. Please take the time to complete it. It only takes about 15 minutes THANK YOU!
