Today you may have been notified by CalMac of a minor change to the Frisa-only timetable – the 17:00 from Craignure on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday has been brought forward by five minutes to 16:55. This is in order to restore a workable connection with the 18:11 Oban train departure.
This has been made possible by the Frisa crew agreeing to trial a 15 minute turnaround for that sailing, rather than 20 minutes. So thanks to them for being flexible and enabling an important public transport connection to be restored.
CalMac have also agreed to some other changes to make train connections more reliable; and there are some further small timetable tweak requests that we are awaiting a response to. These are all aimed at restoring key train connections that were recently removed.
As soon as we have news on the full set of tweaks we have requested (hopefully in just a day or two), we will let you know.

Excellent – thank you so much for pushing and to the calmac crew for their willingness.
when is Isle of mull coming back from dry dock was due before christmass
Not until mid-February. They’ve found extensive rust in the hull that requires the replacement of a lot of steel. There has been no immediate direct impact on the Mull service, but we are awaiting news on whether we will be impacted in late Jan / early Feb.
