The MV Isle of Mull is still re-deployed to Coll and Tiree, due to the continuing issues with the Hebrides’ bow visor. Meanwhile however, the problem with the Isle of Arran’s bow thrusters that had kept her out of action for many weeks has now been fixed. The IOA will now replace the Coruisk until the Isle of Mull finally becomes available.
That gives us an immediate uplift to a car capacity of 55 and passenger capacity of just under 450 on the ‘major vessel’ sailings to Oban. This still falls short of the Isle of Mull’s capacity (62 cars and 962 passengers), but is a significant improvement and should make travel via Oban much easier.
