Latest CalMac update, 14th April 13:00. MV Isle of Mull ‘intended’ to come back to Craignure this weekend.

Here’s the latest communication from CalMac regarding Mull services:

Good afternoon

I am pleased to confirm that MV Loch Frisa is on her way to her port of service and will be available to operate a two-vessel service alongside MV Coruisk from tomorrow until Saturday 18th AM. Whilst the additional capacity is welcome, I am fully aware that two small vessels on the run is below what was planned and what is required for Mull, and I am sorry for that.

More broadly, MV Loch Seaforth can return to service but with a safety case and operating single-ended. This means her capacity is reduced by 25 cars on Ullapool-Stornoway and MV Glen Sannox must provide relief due to the volume of supplies and traffic which uses the route for the whole of the Western Isles.

MV Hebrides is on track to return to service on the Little Minch on Saturday 18 April and we will publish plans later this week for the vessel cascade across the network from this date onwards, but it will have a net-positive impact on several routes and services – including Mull where it is our intention for the MV Isle of Mull to resume service from Oban – Craignure from Sunday 19th April.
