CalMac update April 3rd 16:00

Still hopeful that the Isle of Mull is heading back to us … but maybe not until the end of next week rather than the beginning of it. Here is the full CalMac update:

Good afternoon,

Further to my earlier email I now have a bit more detail on vessel deployments over the coming week.

With MV Lord of the Isles unexpected but welcome availability, we’ve urgently reviewed services across the network through to Thursday 9 April inclusive. Due to forecasted weather and berth availability, Lord of the Isles could reach in time, she’s not departing the Clyde until Monday. Therefore, any changes do not take effect until Tuesday.

MV Coruisk will operate a single-vessel timetable on Friday 3, Saturday 4, Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April. MV Lord of the Isles will operate some sailings on the morning of Tuesday 7 April before operating a single leg to Barra. This also means MV Coruisk is single-vessel on Wednesday 8 April as she’ll operate a Castlebay-Lochboisdale-Oban leg. Some sailings may be locked as traffic is moved, but we’re working to complete this and unlock them as soon as we can.

I apologise for the continued reduction in service levels for your community.

Storm Dave does pose a risk over the weekend, and our website and app will have the lates service information.
