After just three weeks of resumed service, the Maid of Glencoul (the 48-year-old back-up vessel) broke down yesterday afternoon. Highland Council say: “unfortunately we require further investigations into our technical fault and it is unlikely we will be running in the next couple of days.. .sorry for the inconvenience.”
The main ferry MV Corran is still awaiting parts, and is not expected back into service until sometime in August.
