Winter Oban – Craignure timetable

This winter’s Oban-Craignure timetable will be amended due to onboard Covid19 regimes. CalMac need to maintain 30 minutes turnaround time at both ends, in order to give time for cleaning regimes between trips.

This eats into the working time of the boat, and the upshot is that we will have one fewer sailing per day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We have discussed this back and forth with CalMac, and arrived at the best outcome possible within the constraints. Normally we would aim to put a major timetable change like this out for wide public consultation, but given the circumstances there wasn’t time.

All the key public transport connections are maintained, and one positive side-benefit is an earlier start to the sailing day that gives a net increase of 30-35 minutes to the total available day on the mainland on weekdays.

The Fishnish-Lochaline timetable will be the same as last winter (as will Tob-Kilchoan with the exception of an extra request sailing). Fionnphort-Iona is still in discussion.
